Pamukkale location is 245 km from Antalya old City. Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle” in Turkish, is an unreal landscape in western Turkey, famous for its white terraces.

The terraces are made of travertine, a sedimentary rock deposited by water with a very high mineral content from the hot springs. People have bathed in its pools for thousands of years.
Cleopatra Pool with warm natural water with minerals and the temperature of 39 degrees is nice place to swim during hot day time. The pool is beautiful. It closed at 16:00. Please reserve enough time to swim in the Cleopatra Pool. Please take swim suit with you. Entrance to Cleopatra Pool cost 110 TL or approximately 10 Euro. You could keep your personal things in lockers nearby for 10 TL.
The ancient Greek city of Hierapolis was built on top of the hot springs by the kings of Pergamon. The ruins of the baths, temples, amphitheatre and other old monuments can be seen at the site.
Hierapolis Pamukkale has 2 entrances: lower and upper. Lower entrance is nice for walking experience by cotton coloured hills and pools. Upper entrance is for busy tourists.
You have to reserve 2 (two) days for Hierapolis Pamukkale visit to have full enough experience and enjoy it. We suggest to stay 1 night in near Karahayit village hotels with pools from local thermal sources Red Springs, Karahayit and reserve morning time for the Cleopatra Pool to avoid over crowd time.
The entrance to Pamukkale cost is 80 TL. In addition, if you want to see museum inside old baths you have to pay additional price. Few shops, cafe and restaurants could take payment by cards. Parking near Hierapolis Pamukkale is paid.
